Future Woodland Locations
Future Landscapes
Developing future ecological memorial landscapes across the UK
Eternal Grove is building toward a future network of ecological memorial landscapes designed to combine remembrance, restoration and long-term stewardship within protected natural environments.
Each landscape is carefully planned to provide peaceful places where ashes can be placed beneath memorial trees within woodland, meadow and restored ecological surroundings.
As future landscapes are secured and developed, new locations will be announced here.
A future network of memorial landscapes
Unlike traditional cemeteries, Eternal Grove landscapes are designed to remain living natural environments that continue to grow and evolve over time.
Each landscape may include:
-
memorial woodland groves
-
wildflower meadows
-
reflection ponds and wetlands
-
biodiversity habitat zones
-
protected walking paths
-
quiet natural spaces for remembrance
The landscape itself becomes the memorial.
Example Flagship Landscape
An example of how future Eternal Grove landscapes may combine memorial woodland, meadow restoration, habitat creation and peaceful walking paths within a protected natural environment.
How Eternal Grove landscapes work
Every Eternal Grove landscape is designed to remain peaceful, natural and environmentally sensitive over the long term.
Ashes are placed beneath memorial trees using biodegradable urns within woodland and natural surroundings.
There are no headstones, formal grave plots or artificial memorials.
Families are able to visit woodland paths, meadows and quiet natural spaces designed for reflection and remembrance.
Landscape features
Future Eternal Grove landscapes may include:
Memorial woodland groves
Protected woodland areas where memorial trees and ashes placements are carefully integrated into the landscape.
Wildflower meadows
Open meadow spaces designed to support biodiversity, seasonal colour and peaceful walking environments.
Habitat and biodiversity zones
Protected ecological areas created to support wildlife, pollinators and long-term habitat restoration.
Reflection ponds and wetlands
Natural water features designed to enhance biodiversity and provide quiet places for reflection within the landscape.
Walking paths and quiet spaces
Low-impact natural paths allowing families to explore the landscape peacefully throughout the year.
Long-term stewardship
Every Eternal Grove landscape is designed around long-term ecological stewardship and restoration.
This may include:
-
woodland creation
-
meadow restoration
-
wetland and habitat enhancement
-
biodiversity corridors
-
carefully managed visitor access
-
protected ecological habitats
These principles help ensure each landscape continues to mature naturally over generations.
Future locations across the UK
Eternal Grove’s long-term vision is to create a future network of ecological memorial landscapes across the UK.
Each location is intended to remain:
-
peaceful
-
low-impact
-
environmentally sensitive
-
carefully stewarded for future generations
Over time these landscapes will form a connected network of protected natural places shaped by remembrance, restoration and nature.
